Get with the Program

It is always a challenge to decide what song goes first, what song goes next and what song goes last. A concert program should feel like a story. It should have a beginning a middle and an end and leave the audience satisfied. We were caught off guard on our second performance when the audience demanded an encore. So for our third concert last night we moved things around a little bit and added one piece so we would not be so unprepared.
Thankfully, we have a secret weapon when we create our program. We are blessed with truly fine soloists. These terrific singers how to refocus the audience and can provide thrilling moments throughout the concert. Sometimes during the performance I can look out at the audience as they watch our singers. There is sometimes shock or a look of wonder and sometimes tears as the audience hears these young singers emote and give a stirring performances. So I would like to dedicate last nights performance to Riya Kini, Rori Escudero, Annalise Klenow, Divi Motwani, Aiden Chen and Alex Fersman for being our secret weapons and helping us tell our story.
