2024 Spring Concert: Well Told Tale

Join us on May 3rd at 7:30 PM for our Spring Concert, “A Well Told Tale: Folk Music from Around the World”. Dive into an evening where melodies traverse borders and epochs, featuring enchanting folk songs from the Americas, Hungary, England, Italy, and beyond.

In every corner of the globe, communities share their narratives, weaving tales of their experiences, values, and traditions into songs that echo through generations. These humorous, poignant tunes, preserved by the oral tradition, form the fabric of our shared human history.

Our upcoming performance breathes new life into these timeless stories, told through the voices of our award-winning choirs and soloists. Experience the world through its folk music, a testament to the enduring power of storytelling across cultures.

We’re thrilled to share this musical journey with you. Please join us in celebrating the tales that have brought us together for centuries.

We believe in gathering the Palo Alto High School Community and its friends in the performance of great choral and vocal music. We believe that our ensembles should achieve the advanced standards of music education set by the PAUSD and the State of California. But above all, we believe that in the pursuit of great music, young people will develop lasting relationships, enduring memories, and profound appreciation for art.

The Friends of the Palo Alto High School Choir is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has been supporting Paly’s outstanding choral program for more than 40 years.  The FOPC provides funding for tours, scholarships, attire, music purchase, accompaniment and music resources that are essential to Paly’s high quality music program.  Please consider making a donation.
