Fishing for Pictures

We had a little contest today. On our way to Oviedo we stopped in a small, beautiful fishing village. The hillside facing the ocean is dotted with colorful houses, and there were cute shops and some restaurants with lovely views. Not sure exactly what it would be like I decided to give the students a little task. I wanted them to take photos of the fishing village, and the only requirement was to include someone in the photo no landscape or buildings. I offered one euro to the winner. Divij Motwani added another $.70 to that offer. I guess he was just being generous.
The winning submission is above taken by Ivanka Kumar. It is entitled “pickpockets at play.” It’s true. These two young girls were likely pickpockets. The picture was taken before our students were warned by some other residents to be careful for these two young characters who of course, were very charming and fun, but might steal your lunch money. Here are some other honorable mentions.
