The choir that has traveled all the way from Palo Alto California will sing tomorrow in front of a foreign audience and it will be their first time making music together. It would be a lie to say that they are unprepared. They have been preparing since August 2023. But a music ensemble must rehearse together to achieve cohesion intention and intonation and we have not had a chance to do that until tonight. Tonight the choir spent two hours rehearsing music and getting it ready for tomorrow’s performance. This 18th century Basilica has almost four seconds of reverb and it was intimidating to say the least. Singing in a room with that much reverb has its own challenges. We are working out all the kinks and we are so excited to welcome an audience tomorrow. Little by little we are becoming a real choir. Thanks for joining us on this ride.
